Community Involvement by ISSA Residential Members

Whether it is free house cleanings for women undergoing cancer treatments or for disabled veterans, or sponsoring youth activities like sports teams or involvement with youth service organizations, or supporting the arts or local festivals, ISSA Residential members and their employees are involved in their local communities.

(The organizations and charities listed are those where ISSA Residential members are involved. Charitable giving and involvement is an individual choice, and while the organizations listed provide a valuable service to their communities, their listing does not constitute an endorsement by ISSA Residential, and ISSA Residential assumes no responsibility for their actions or operations.)

Projects

Kleaning for Kids

A Joint Project Between ISSA Residential and the Ronald McDonald House Charities

ISSA Residential is proud to announce the launch of Kleaning for Kids, a joint project with local Ronald McDonald House Charities. Through the generous support of ISSA Residential’s member volunteers, ISSA Residential will provide residential cleaning services at no charge to the Ronald McDonald Houses in their communities.

There are more than 180 Ronald McDonald Houses (RMHC) across the United States and Canada, and they each have different needs. ISSA Residential will have a local liaison near each RMHC to work with the local volunteer coordinator. Assistance from ISSA Residential member companies will be strictly volunteer and will be based on how much time each owner feels they can provide, which could be two hours a month to two hours a week. Whatever ISSA Residential members can do to assist will make things better for families staying at RMHC.

Spencer Dean Honored with National Humanitarian Award

Mastercare Home Cleaning
Cleaning for a Reason “Rememberance Award”

When Spencer Dean’s wife died from ALS in 2004, at 48, he learned firsthand how important it is to have help keeping a household together, especially when there are children to take care of and medical bills to pay.

Through the generosity of friends and neighbors, Dean was able to have in-home help with cleaning, cooking, and laundry. Now he’s giving back to the community that supported him and his family by providing something of real value to courageous local women battling cancer.

MasterCare Home Cleaning Services, Dean’s professional Santa Barbara maid-service company, has been awarded the exclusive “2009 Remembrance Award” by the Cleaning for a Reason Foundation for providing more free house cleanings for women undergoing cancer treatments than any other cleaning company in the United States.
