The pandemic continues to wreak havoc on our world, and the end seems to be nowhere in sight. We continue to feel the impact, most particularly in finding employees.
During a recent ARCSI Town Hall Event, our panelists shared many suggestions that businesses could take advantage of to find employees and strengthen their businesses despite the current challenges. ISSA Director of Government Affairs John Nothdurft, suggested to focus on retention. It’s not about just finding new employees, it’s just as important to create a workplace that the employee doesn’t want to leave.
“Retention is critical now,” Nothdurft said. “Make the position less of a job and more of a career.”
How can you do that? Nothdurft highly encourages advanced training. “The more training you offer to your team, the more invested they will become in their job.”

Professional House Cleaning (PHC) Certification
The PHC Certification provides the training you need for the cleaning professionals on your team. This course is a 7-module, self-paced online training program.
House Cleaning Technician (HCT) Certification
The House Cleaning Technician (HCT) training and certification program is a comprehensive overview of best practices in cleaning. This course is designed specifically for the HCT who wants to meet the expectations of this more educated marketplace of homeowners. Those who complete this course and pass the certification examination will be certified professionals who understand the value and methodology of proper cleaning. The HCT is a two-day virtual class, led by Bruce Vance.
